Area of trapeziums & parallelograms

To work out the area of a trapezium:


Side a plus side b. Divide it by two and multiply it by the height. 


Side a+b is the average length of the entire shape. 


To work out the area of a parallelogram, multiply the base by the height.

  4. Didn't know how to find area of a trapezium - cool. To be honest, I've never tried, I teach Y6!
